1. Harvesting Areca Palm Leaves:

At Eco Nexus, our commitment to sustainability begins with the responsible sourcing of Areca Palm leaves. After completing their life cycle, these leaves and sheaths naturally fall from the betel nut tree, becoming natural renewable resources. Local farmers gather these fallen materials without harming or cutting down any trees.

2. Drying Process:

The leaves and sheaths, initially bearing moisture due to humidity, undergo a meticulous sun-drying process. To enhance our eco-friendly practices, we utilize alternative drying systems powered by solar panels and renewable energies. This method ensures that warm air effectively dries the sheaths, preventing fungal or mold growth.

3. Cleaning & Washing:

Each leaf undergoes a thorough hand-washing process with fresh water and brushes to eliminate any debris or foreign particles. This not only ensures cleanliness but also softens the sheaths, allowing them to reabsorb water in preparation for the next production step.

4. Heat Pressing:
Our state-of-the-art machines shape the leaves and sheaths using specific dies based on the desired plate size or form. Through a combination of heat and precise pressure, the sheath structure is transformed into a high-quality plate. Depending on the sheath size, multiple items can be molded, and any residual moisture is meticulously dried out.

5. Edge Trimming,
Sorting & Cleaning: Excess sheath material is intricately trimmed, and rough edges are sanded down for a polished finish. Each refined piece undergoes thorough manual cleaning to meet our quality standards.

6. Quality Assurance & Sterilization:
Eco Nexus plates undergo rigorous testing, including yeast/mold assessments, to certify their readiness for use. UV treatment ensures that each plate is safe for food contact.

7. Packing (Shrink Wrapping):
